Who We Are

Steege Construction built its foundation as a company in 2005 when owner Gavin Steege, his brothers, and father started building custom homes in the Waverly area. Being family owned, Steege Construction takes pride in keeping family values installed throughout every project.

We believe that we can provide every customer, whether that be residential or commercial, with exactly the type of resources they need. We are a large enough company to accommodate any project’s needs, yet small enough to give each project the level of detail it needs to exceed each client’s expectations. Steege Construction will take your project from concept to completion and provide you with exactly the project you had dreamed of.

Meet the STeege Construction Team

  • President

Owner Gavin Steege started Steege Construction back in 2005. After building homes with his father and brothers, Gavin decided to make the move from builder to General Contractor. The relationships that were made during his years as a builder have allowed the company to grow into the size it is today. While Gavin’s role has changed as the company has grown, he still plays an active role in each project, including supervising the Steege Construction team to ensure only the best product is being designed and built. Striving to maintain the custom new home approach has always been a priority, and the craftsmanship in both the residential and commercial projects speak for themselves. As an active dad of 5 youngsters, Gavin and his wife Kylie stay busy with weekends on the river, watching the Hawkeyes, and enjoying time spent entertaining in their Steege Construction built home.
