Site & Subcontractor Coordinator
To coordinate the schedules of subcontractors, and visit each site with a fine tooth comb, Steege Construction hired Jamison Steege. Growing up being a Steege, Jamison is all too familiar with the construction industry, and has a great foundation to help keep residential projects moving along. Even though he spends a portion of his time in the office coordinating with project managers, you will usually catch him going from jobsite to jobsite. When he isn’t at work, you can find him out in the field farming, golfing, spending time with his wife, Payton, son Bowen, and their dogs Remi and Ella, or watching sports in his Steege Construction built home.
Owner Gavin Steege started Steege Construction back in 2005. After building homes with his father and brothers, Gavin decided to make the move from builder to General Contractor. The relationships that were made during his years as a builder have allowed the company to grow into the size it is today. While Gavin’s role has changed as the company has grown, he still plays an active role in each project, including supervising the Steege Construction team to ensure only the best product is being designed and built. Striving to maintain the custom new home approach has always been a priority, and the craftsmanship in both the residential and commercial projects speak for themselves. As an active dad of 5 youngsters, Gavin and his wife Kylie stay busy with weekends on the river, watching the Hawkeyes, and enjoying time spent entertaining in their Steege Construction built home.
In 2021, Kylie joined the Steege Construction team and took on the digital marketing role. She updates the website, social media, and any other marketing campaigns. While she may not be in the office very often, she is busy at home with her and Gavin’s five kids. Kylie graduated from Wartburg College in 2012 with her Elementary Education degree and taught for eight years before deciding to focus solely on her family. She enjoys getting to be involved in the kid’s school activities, being a shuttle to and from practices and games, and during the summer, you can find them outside enjoying the pond and river!
