Million Dollar Question: Length of Home Build

The million dollar question--How long with the process of building a home take?

As you can imagine, there are a ton of variables that go into determining the answer to this question, but we are going to give a rough estimate of what to expect when building a new custom home.

Pre Construction ~3-4 months of Project Planning
~This includes our very first meeting to the day we give the green light to dig! During this time, we will tour several homes, gather information on your wants/needs, develop and draw plans, have several design meetings, and get a price on your home.

Construction ~5-10 months
~That is a fairly large window but this is where most of the variables lie.

Things that impact timing:
~ability to make decisions
~ownership of property
~stage of floor plans (starting from scratch vs. have plans in hand)
~time of year when starting project (Spring is busy for contractors and sub contractors)
~overall detail in your house
~are products readily available or are selections unique and have long lead times
