About Us

Steege Construction Inc.

History

Steege Construction built its foundation as a company in 2005 when owner Gavin Steege, his brother, and father started building custom homes in the Waverly area. Being family owned, Steege Construction takes pride in keeping family values installed throughout every project. We believe that we can provide every customer, whether that be residential or commercial, with exactly the type of resources they need. We are a large enough company to accommodate any project’s needs, yet small enough to give each project the level of detail it needs to exceed each client’s expectations. Steege Construction will take your project from concept to completion and provide you with exactly what you had dreamed of.

Research

Working with Steege Construction, you can have peace of mind that we will do whatever possible to ensure that you have the home of your dreams. This process begins with our in-depth research to come up with the best plan to suit each client. Whether that be touring past projects or sitting down and coming up with an original idea, our team will do their best to give you exactly what you need before committing to a plan.

Concept

The next phase of the overall process is to partake in the conceptual planning of the project. This is when our team sits down with you and highlights every detail of your project. This is when the “bones” of the project come to life. Floor plans get created, reconfigured, and then finalized upon approval. Decisions are made as to how the space is going to flow or what spaces will be used for what. Much thought is put into this phase, so that each project is within budget and created to the clients’ standards.

Design

The designing aspect of the project is when selections are made as to what the space looks like visually. Every little detail is looked at with and chosen based on what the client and Steege Construction feels to be best for the space. Decisions on lighting, paint colors, flooring, and much more are made during this phase, and it is when the project becomes easier to visualize.

Develop

The final phase of the project is when the project is being implemented or developed. Walls go up, final selections are made, and clients can begin to use their new space. While this is the most rewarding stage, a lot of work goes into this stage to check and double check that the work put in is exactly what the client wished for. Our goal is to have the client walk in and love every aspect of their new space.

Testimonials

“My husband and I just built our first home and Steege Construction was super helpful and made things very easy to navigate through the whole process! They kept everything moving along and were very easy to talk and work with from day to day which is what every home owner/builder wants and needs. We love our new home and they did a great job at getting us a quote and sticking with our budget. We knew what we wanted and how much we wanted to spend and got great upgrades and saved where we could! We will most likely build another house with them in the future! If you’re thinking about building I highly suggest you talk with Gavin, Doug or Tim (for Commercial stuff) as they will help you get started!”
